The twins turned 12 and Evan turned 2 this month, and it really made us realize how fast time has gone by. Nathan & Alycia are going to be teens next year and we're bracing ourselves, although it's really cool to see them mature and see their interests change as the years go by... remembering what we were like at their age!

Evan on the other hand, is just beginning to show his personality. Turning 2 has really brought on a new dimension of Evan... he is more animated than ever, he is beginning to expand his vocabulary and is becoming more independent as the days go by. His birthday was a blast and he enjoyed every minute. I decided to do something special and I made him his very own dump truck cake, which actually turned out better than I expected! He had a great time and we thank everyone for coming to spend the afternoon celebrating with us.

We also took Evan to Rolling Ridge Ranch located in the heart Amish Country. It is an animal refuge that features over 500 animals and birds from around the world, including kangaroos, ostriches, pigs and piglets, monkeys, lemurs, zebras, camels, deer and all kids of huge cattle from South America and Africa. You can take a wagon tour and feed the animals or you can drive through the wooded park in your car. They also have a petting zoo, which Evan loved... they had little bunnies and goats... just his size!
