Spring 2010

It's finally spring and we can't wait to get outside! So many new things to experience with Evan now that he is walking and running. This winter has been long and difficult... but we are looking forward to warm weather fun.

Work is starting to pick up for Joel and he is in need of an assistant... that's where I come in. I agreed to help him a couple of days a week until he can find someone to help him full time, hopefully by summer. I am still hoping to be involved in the media division of Ultragloss but things are slow going for now since it is still in the developmental stage. I would love to work from home, especially when Evan starts going to school (that will be here before I know it)!

Evan is 19 months now and is changing constantly. He now knows what is funny and will do things to makes us laugh. We love watching him grow and learn new things. He has been saying new words every week but still uses the sign language we taught him for 'more', 'milk', 'please', 'thank you', 'bath' and 'done'. I'll tell you what, that was the smartest thing we did with him and I highly recommend it to other new parents. It makes life so much easier for everyone! I have been taking him to a Kindermusik class on Thursday mornings and he loves it. There is one cute little girl, Cicelia, he seems to be smitten by... he follows her lead around the room. They play peek-a-boo around the carpet-covered poles during class... too funny. The class has really helped him socially... I was afraid he'd cling to me the entire time, but he is actually quite the social butterfly and is not afraid to venture away from me. We also go to story time at the Green library every Wednesday, which is also great because we check out a lot of new books. Overall, he is a very happy kid (if he gets enough sleep!) and is the most spectacular being on this planet, as far as I'm concerned!
